LOOKING FOR MEDICARE HELP? MEET OUR MEDICARE EXPERTS SERVING MEDICARE BENEFICIARIES NATIONWIDE

Prior to opening his doors for business as the Medicare Coach, Larry Wiegel, the founder of The Medicare Coach, was a financial planner. Back in the 90s, his mother-in-law was facing several health issues. As Larry was sorting through her medical bills, he discovered she had not one, but TWO different Medicare supplements.

How could that be? (In case you’re wondering . . . today, that would be illegal.)

Uncovering the answer to this question is what motivated Larry. Unable to find any independent Medicare advice, he set out on a mission, reading anything and everything he could find to gain clarity on:

  • What is Medicare?
  • How does it work?
  • What does it cost?
  • What does it cover?

Once he had the answers to these questions, he was able to confidently help his mother-in-law. But then his phone started to ring. Clients and friends turned to Larry seeking assistance with their Medicare decisions.

As more and more people approached him, Larry was inspired to become a Certified Senior Advisor and attended several Medicare and Social Security training programs.

He opened his doors for business as the Medicare Coach in 2010. At that time, it was the only Medicare advisory service of its kind.

Today the Medicare Coach team serves Medicare beneficiaries nationwide ─ making Medicare easy while saving you money.

WHAT DOES SOMEONE IN THEIR THIRTIES KNOW ABOUT MEDICARE?

That’s a question that doesn’t surprise Emily when she hears it. While she is not 65, she has wisdom beyond her years and the knowledge to guide you in the right direction.

Here’s why . . .

A few years ago, Emily worked in the financial market in New York City. “I thought I would go to NY to change people’s lives, but quickly realized that’s not where I could make difference,” she explained.

It was during a family visit that her dad asked for her help figuring out Medicare. He was approaching 65 and had a stack of Medicare mailers piled high in his kitchen. Emily thought, “This should be easy. After all, the answers must be in one of these mailers.”

However, she quickly discovered that most of the envelopes contained advertisements. None of them really helped her or her dad gain clarity and confidently make a smart decision.

“I thought I could figure it out on my own,” continued Emily. “But as I approached the task I had in front of me, I started to get mad at how complicated the whole Medicare process was.”

“There has to be an easier way,” Emily thought. “Just like I hire an accountant to help with taxes, I should be able to find an unbiased professional to help with Medicare.”

It was then that Emily remembered someone had told her about Larry Wiegel, the Medicare Coach. She called him and – as the saying goes – the rest was history.

As Larry shared his Medicare knowledge with Emily, the more she learned, the more she found herself, not only fascinated but shocked. Insurance companies were setting people up to make the wrong decisions.

“My dad worked so hard all his life and at a time when he needed the best health care available, the system was setting him up to fail.”

With all she learned, Emily not only helped her dad make a smart Medicare choice, but she began sharing her new-found knowledge with anyone who was interested. The more she did, the more her friends’ parents began asking her for advice about their upcoming Medicare decisions.

In 2016 Emily left her financial services position and joined Larry and the Medicare Coach team. Since then she has studied the ins and outs of Medicare and guided hundreds of people across the country with making the right Medicare decision based on their unique situations.
